Whilst our usual Monday Yoga instructor Sophie Hutchinson is on a dancing adventure in Europe, we are so pleased to welcome Miz DeShannon, a.k.a Nataraja Yoga, into our space to lead the regular session.
Everyone, meet Miz:
“I’m a qualified Ashtanga Vinyasa teacher, with a 200 hour RYT certificate from Sampoorna School in Agonda, India.
The Vinyasa sequences I teach follow dynamic choreography, incorporating Ashtanga asanas and a strong focus on alignment which has always been important to me and is a much needed foundation for asana practice. I also teach Yin and Hatha, focusing on breath work and relaxation.
Classes are always fun and always allow students to explore their own abilities, and focus on their breath and movement coordination, so are suitable for beginners and intermediate yogis too.”
The class includes a vinyasa sequence that will gradually allow you to build strength and flexibility. The more awareness you cultivate for how your torso and limbs work together to create the postures the easier the practise will become
The practice brings calmness to the mind and can reduces stress and anxiety through focus on coordination of the breath and movement.
These classes are open to all, regardless of prior experience! You are warmly invited to come and find pleasure in a healthy and holistic yoga practice. Mats are provided!
There is no pressure to get the postures right away – you will be encouraged to journey through the class in a safe, supportive and friendly space, at your own pace.
This is Yoga for EVERYONE!
Price: This drop-in classes will be £5 (cash on the day).
