We have a wonderful multi-purpose space in a homely open urban warehouse setting at Aire Place Mills, Kirkstall Road, near to Leeds city centre in LS3. We are located a 5 minute car journey or 20 minute walk from Leeds Central Train Station. Space at Open Source Arts can be hired at a reasonable price by individuals, groups and organisations for events such as conferences, gigs and meetings. Individual spaces, multiple spaces and indeed the whole venue can be hired. Depending on activities, multiple spaces could be in use at any one time by different groups, including by visitors to the cafe. As such, unless full venue hire is requested there is usually a mixture of noise, people, and activity in and around the spaces. If there is an existing event in the calendar, it may still be possible to hire a space alongside; so please get in touch. Pop in to see it in person, or contact us to see if it would suit your event.
‘I ran a days movement & creativity workshop at Open Source Arts. I found it a wonderful space to work in, open, light & spacious with a real homely & creative feel to it.
The sound system was good & powerful & there was plenty of space for my group to spread out with table & chairs to work at & a well supplied kitchen to have tea’s & lunch. I highly recommend this space if you’re looking for a venue to run a workshop or ongoing group. I only wish it was nearer to where I live! I’ll be back soon to run more.’
‘I booked the studio for a participatory performance as a part of my studies. I found you guys to be very open to things and keen to help – even though you’re obviously super busy! The facilities were perfect for my needs.’
