Open Source Arts
£4 otd
As the balmy Summer days draw to an end and Autumn creeps in, let’s gather and drink in the delights of local talent to mark the changing seasons…
Expect ‘specially selected cream o’ the crop featured artists (still to be announced) alongside the usual sharing of fledgling acts, spoken words, sweet musics, larks, stories & song.
Stalls from local independent makers and artists will share their sweet crafted wares from 6pm. As well, come fill yer beautiful faces with wholesome, tasty veggie/vegan treats and lovely drinkable things before the open stage kicks off! We’ll share what’s on the menu closer to the time…
We want to share all that is Open Source Arts with you lovely lot – we believe deeply in the connection between the environment, society and the arts. So, with that in mind, expect more of our strong environmental strands to have presence this Equinox party!
Open Source Arts holds quarterly celebrations tied to the equinox and solstice, as we believe in celebration and the ancient art of gathering- bringing the diversity in our community together so people from our various projects and activities can meet each other, rather than simply fulfilling excellent projects in isolation. This allows us to connect and share the journey of our successes before moving forward together.
Come join us in celebrating the breadth, diversity, values and people that make up Open Source Arts.
The dancers can meet the carpenters and the ecologists can meet the chefs and the riverfly monitors can meet the double bass players and the project managers can meet the costume designers etc and community and collaboration can blossom before we notice it’s really happening!
Tell your friends, bring your kindred folk, invite your enemies – let’s connect this Equinox together under one corrugated roof!
Stay tuned in this event page for more details on some of the wonderful creative performances that will take place on the night…
Humongous love and we look forward to seeing you all on the 23rd!

We are located on Kirkstall road in Leeds – a short walk, cycle or drive from the centre of the city – directly opposite ITV television studios in the Aire Place Mills complex, along with Seagulls Paint & Aire Place Studios. We are the first building on the left!
Address: Unit 1A Aire Place Mills, 143 Kirkstall Rd, LS3 1JL
We have very limited parking on site and encourage everybody to walk, cycle, or take the bus (33 and 34 or leeds bradford airport bus 757, please ask the driver for the stop outside Yorkshire Television or Radio Aire). For those who must drive (bringing a broken bike, perhaps?), there is a very affordable carpark directly across Kirkstall Road, outside Yorkshire Television.
