Aerial silks, also known as aerial tissue, is a combination of performance, dance, and acrobatics used throughout the world. In this workshop we will be focusing on control and movements of the human body to help develop a safe and effective training practice.
If you want to explore new ways of staying fit this is a great workshop, as this type of fitness is a full body workout; building forearm, bicep, back, abdominal, and leg strength, but also increasing endurance, cardio strength, and flexibility. You will practice calisthenics based body conditioning.
Great for individuals who are new to aerial, or if you have had a break/wish to reignite your condition and training routine to get back into circus arts.
Prior aerial experience is not required. Once completed you will be able to practice your skills during the weekly Circus Open Training at Open Source Arts on Tuesdays.
Join us at Open Source Arts with Natalie, who’s trained and teaches aerial arts and Yoga. Passionate about calisthenics and handstands. 300 hour trained Yoga professional and Aerial Circus instructor.
