Join us every Wednesday as we open our workshop for your personal projects, big and small, we welcome it all…

We have well stocked workshops for woodworking, metalworking, textiles and costume making, as well as plenty of bench space and handheld powertools and manual hand tools for you to tinker, play, experiment and develop your projects or designs in good company and under the helpful eye of our experienced technicians.

The setting will be open, supportive, sharing focused and inclusive so please come even if you want to just be around the making vibe and get literate again with your inner designer and maker, to help you imagine more clearly whatever project you are dreaming of.

We have a beautiful cafe space and comfortable seating for drinking brews and getting inspired, whiteboards, blackboards, drafting tables, big planning tables and large cutting tables and a bright airy space. We would love to welcome you here to work on your project.

The focus of this open workshop time is to give like-minded people with some prior experience of making, the opportunity to use good equipment to make their designs in like-minded company. As such we ask that anyone attending has at least some prior experience of the skill or craft or type of processing they will be undertaking during open workshop time.

We ask everybody to contribute £4 per hour or for every part of an hour that they are here, or £10 for all three hours, as this helps cover the cost of keeping the building open and also contributes towards the cost of the tools which we have here at OSA.

We may have some materials you can purchase to use, but to be sure that you have what you need, it is best if you bring materials with you.

Post in the Facebook group with what you are thinking of making on the day so that we can make any preparations in advance if necessary: Facebook

We hope to see you there!
