Yoga Nidra is an effective and efficient relaxation and meditation technique derived from ancient tantra and developed by Swami Satyananda of the Bihar school of Yoga.
Sometimes called ‘sleep with awareness’ because it takes us to the edge of sleep, where we are deeply relaxed, yet awake and aware. The ultimate goal being to increase self awareness.
Yoga Nidra is easily accessible for all, the practice simply requires you to rest comfortably and listen to a specific set of spoken instructions.
The instructions invite you to silently rotate awareness around different parts of the body, systematically calming the nervous system, soothing muscular aches and engaging the mind, allowing mental tensions to pause.
As a bonus, practitioner report that the relaxation achieved in a typical 20-40 minute Yoga Nidra session is as refreshing as 4 hours sleep!
These unique special yoga sessions will be led by Charlotte of Amala movement; a professionally trained yoga instructor.
Charlotte’s classes are open to all, regardless of prior experience! You are warmly invited to come and find pleasure in a healthy and holistic yoga practice.
Mats and blankets are available, but you’re welcome to bring your own mat and blanket to make yourself comfortable.
