SUMMARY:Ecstatic Drum Circle (for Creativity & Wellbeing Week)
DESCRIPTION:A one-off free event for Creativity & Wellbeing Week. \nDrumming together helps us to connect with each other\, and also to find the unique creative input that we can add to a group. \nUsing the same principles of embodiment\, awareness and intuition as we practise in a 5Rhythms class\, we’ll invite both body and spirit to enter the circle\, and find the rhythms that move us. \nFeel free to bring your own drum (or any acoustic instrument). We’ll also have some instruments available to borrow. \nWe’ll practice: \n\nBreathing with the beat\nPlaying from the whole body\nAligning with the energy of the group\nSurrendering to the rhythm\nAdding our own flavour\nExperiencing the silence between the beats\n\nPlenty of opportunity for creative play\, and if you feel moved to sing or dance\, it’s more than welcome. \nThe session will be facilitated by 5Rhythms teacher Ben Deutsch.

SUMMARY:Flow State Activation Sound Bath (for Creativity & Wellbeing Week)
DESCRIPTION:Creating space for creativity through sound: A Flow State Activation Sound Bath. \nAs creatives we often get a bit stuck; in our creative processes\, in our patterns\, in our algorithms\, in our decision-making. Our creative energies somehow find themselves in a bottleneck and rather than flowing freely\, they start to create tension and pressure within us. This short session has been designed to encourage flow state\, inspire ideas and get our creativity moving freely again. \nWe will begin with a few relaxation exercises and some freeform scribble method journaling. The aim of this section will be to let go of perfectionist tendencies and allow ourselves the freedom to create artistic mess without the judgement or analysis that can lead to paralysis. Then\, after some freeform movement/dance exercises to shake it off we will settle down into a comfortable lying position and do some breathwork in preparation for a sound journey. \nA Flow State Activation sound bath will follow\, using Himalayan singing bowls\, drums\, gong and various other instruments to guide our minds towards a peaceful state of rest. This should help clear any blockages and encourage the activation of a flow state within us. \nAs we resurface gently\, we’ll serve some herbal tea\, encourage some sharing and if we feel inclined\, a bit more creative expression before our paths diverge once more.
