Creativity and Wellbeing Week 2025

Graphic for Creativity and Wellbeing week 2025

Creativity and Wellbeing week is an annual event run by London Arts in Health and the Culture, Health and Wellbeing Alliance. The festival started as a small event based in London in 2012 , to coincide with the Olympics. In 2019 the week went national for the first time  allowing thousands more people across the UK to participate in culture and creative activities. The festival creates core partnership events, while encouraging and supporting organisations and individuals to organise their own activities.

We’d love to make Open Source Arts a hub for creative wellbeing activities during Creativity and Wellbeing Week this year, so we’re offering free space for artists and others who would like to run free events during our opening hours. This could be a great opportunity to offer a taster session to new audiences, or to try out a new workshop for the first time.

The event can be in any art form, or other type of creative action, which might include…

  • Clowning
  • Creative writing
  • Dance
  • Painting
  • Crafts
  • Community organising
  • Gardening
  • Theatre
  • Music
  • All kinds of other fun or challenging activities

Your event can be up to 2 hours long, needs to be free for participants, and needs to fall within the following times…

  • Monday 19th May, 9am to 5pm
  • Tuesday 20th May, 9am to 5pm
  • Wednesday 21st May, 9am to 4pm
  • Thursday 22nd May, 5pm to 10pm
  • Friday 23rd May, 9am to 5pm

(If you want to offer a paid event, or want to run something at a different time or date, then please see our venue hire page).
