Marena Riyad – Palestinian stand-up comedian live in Leeds

Tuesday 1st September @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Born in a refugee camp in the West Bank and “kidnapped” to America at ten, Marena Riyad turns displacement into dark, magnetic comedy.

This event is an alcohol-free space.

Marena Riyad is a Palestinian-American whose humour moves between heartbreak and seduction. Born in a refugee camp in the West Bank and “kidnapped” to America at ten, she turns displacement into dark, magnetic comedy. The self-proclaimed Femme Fatale of the Middle East, Marena brings a sharp, refreshingly pessimistic take on love, identity, and the absurdity of belonging. Her work has carried her from the stages of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival to clubs and theaters across the world, where she makes women laugh and men pine — often at the same time.

Tickets are £5, £10, £15 or £20 (+booking fee). You can choose whichever tier you want to pay.

The show is 16+, all under-18s must be accompanied by an adult.

Doors at 7pm, show starts 7.30pm, and will be finished around 9pm.

The venue has a platform stair lift.
