Guitar course with Cloth Cat

This course aims to provide the student with the knowledge and skill set to further their journey into the wonderful world of guitar. With over 15 years of experience as a guitarist and 5 years of teaching, Jack is able to offer a deep insight into the methods and techniques required for becoming a professional musician.

Whether you’re a beginner starting out on your journey or need a refresher course, Jack is able to deliver tailored detailed lessons to help the specific person move forward with their learning. Going at a pace which is appropriate for the user.

Upon enrolling in this course you will be learning a mixture of chord theory by learning songs, basic warm up techniques and harmony

Jack has run this course for 2 terms and we’ve seen friendships being made among the young people as well as some great talent emerge from people who had never picked up a guitar. If you don’t have a guitar then don’t worry as Cloth Cat have lots and will lend you one to keep for the 10 weeks and take home so you can practice.

DJing course with Cloth Cat

There is limited spaces for this session, we have a maximum of 4 slots so get your enrolment form completed quickly. Young people will be allocated their own work station including headphones. They will learn the basic of either vinyl or digital DJ’ing and the course will cater to individual ability. So if you are a beginner Dan will teach you how to get started but if you’ve been DJ’ing for a while Dan will show you the more advanced techniques.

“Radio Cloth Cat” – create a radio show course

Radio Cloth Cat is a 10 week program for young people to put together a radio show that will be played live on the airways. You will be in full control, using your own ideas to create segments of the show whilst learning the skills you need to record and broadcast. Everyone of any ability is welcome, so if you want to learn an instrument and perform a song, conduct an interview and present the news, or write a play and voice the characters, then this course is for you.
