Addressing the climate, ecological and social crises
Here at Open Source Arts we are committed to taking action to tackle the climate, ecological and social crises and helping those around us and in our community to do the same. Together we must take collective action however great or small and respond to the International Panel on Climate Change’s ‘code red’ warning that we are imminent risk of hitting 1.5 degrees of warming soon
Visit us by bike!
To this end, we want to make it easy and attractive as possible for our team members, studio holders, performers, workshop hosts, audiences and visitors to cycle to our venue. Located on Kirkstall Road, Leeds, which has great cycling infrastructure including bus lanes and bike lanes for cyclists, cycling is a great option for getting here sustainably and healthily.
Secure bike storage & PAYF Bike repair station
Once you’ve made it here you can now make use of our secure bike storage in our Yarden space to give you peace of mind whilst you enjoy your visit, and our new bike repair station to fix any punctures or creaks and (nearly) everything in between before you head off again.

We also want to help all those choosing to commute by bike. So, if you’re on your way to work, the shops or somewhere else more exciting and need to get some bike maintenance done or fix a puncture you’re welcome to drop in too!
The repair station operates as PAYF with a menu of suggested donations based on the cost of materials.
